sixth-grader in Salt Lake City, Utah pulled a gun on two students after his parents gave it to him for protection.
The boy pulled the .22-caliber handgun on two girls during morning recess-- and held it to one’s head. The gun wasn’t loaded at the time but ammunition was later found in his backpack.
It wasn’t until 3 p.m. when two students told a teacher and cops were called.
He told other students that the gun he brought his parents gave it to him for protection because of what happened in Connecticut.
The school district says they plan to pursue criminal charges against the boy and he may not return to the school.
