The Church of Scientology denies claims that Tom Cruise auditioned Hollywood beauties including Scarlett Johansson, Jessica Alba, Lindsay Lohan and Kate Bosworth to be his wife before settling on Katie Holmes.
Allegedly, Cruise allowed senior members of the church to call the actresses to read for a non-existent part in the “Mission: Impossible” series.
The book is called “Going Clear: Scientology, Hollywood and the Prison Belief,” and it claims that Cruise came up with the idea after complaining to his sister that no one had been able to find him a new girlfriend.
