Workers in Central Park (N.Y.) found a loaded, and live revolutionary war-era cannon in one of the park sheds.

It’s one of two cannons being refurbished and stored in a shed inside the park, but from the 1860’s to 1996 the cannon was on display in the park. People would take pictures in front of it and sit on it… and the entire time it was loaded with a live cannonball filled with more than 800 grams of black powder.

It was salvaged from a ship and put on display in the park.

Experts were able to unload the canon and make it safe.

They’re confident it’s the last one in Central Park.
