Sources say Lance Armstrong admitted to Oprah during the taping of a special that will air Thursday night that he did use performance enhancing drugs.
Earlier in the day before taping the special, Lance apologized to the staff at Livestrong saying that he let the organization down. He reportedly choked up during his apology to the staff.
Lance has been stripped of his 7 Tour De France titles after allegations of his doping use were publicized. He admitted to Oprah that he used performance enhancing drugs to win the Tour de France.
A goverment source says Armstrong is now talking with authorities about paying back some of the US Postal Service money from sponsoring his team. He is also talking to authorities about confessing and naming names, giving up others involved in illegal doping.
In the end, his lifetime ban could be reduced.
