The state of Georgia is a little picky about their vanity plates - so picky that an Atlanta man is suing the DMV.
He submitted a few options for plates that celebrated his sexuality - including 4GAYLIB, GAYPWR and GAYGUY.
The DMV shot down his vanity plate requests calling them “vulgar and hateful” and they are now on the list of plates banned by the state.
But the DMV seems to show inconsistencies. While BIGBRA, EROTIKA, GAYGUY and ILUVGUNS were rejected, GAYGAY, GUNLUV and G0D4EVR were accepted.
The state said the issue falls on the different employees across the state who are left to decide what is inappropriate and what is not.
