Florida has a newly unveiled logo meant to draw business to the state, but is it too man-centric? The logo, which replaces the "I" in "Florida" with an orange necktie, is sexist, critics say, because women rarely wear ties (and certainly never in orange). Stuart Doyle, spokesman for Enterprise Florida, designers of the logo, stated that the tie in the new logo is a "universal symbol of business," before time-traveling back to his office in 1955. In fairness, the suggestion from Pamela Rogan, president of the Central Florida Chapter of the National Association of Women Business Owners, that they instead use "a briefcase or something like an iPhone or a smartphone" probably won't win any creativity awards.
