The Washington Post ran a phony story about Sarah Palin joining Al-Jazeera. The Post grabbed the story from a parody news website.
A blogger for the newspaper cited the Daily Currant as her source for a “She the People” column under the headline, “Sarah Palin tries to stay relevant.”
But the story wasn’t true and the paper had to run a correction.

Sarah Palin mocked the Washington Post for running a story that said she was joining Al-Jazeera.
The former VP candidate tweeted: "Hey @washingtonpost, I'm having coffee with Elvis this week. He works at the Mocha Moose in Wasilla," adding the reporter's name and hashtag "#idiotmedia."
She then tweeted: "A @washingtonpost writer once promised not to write about me for a month. That was a good month for me. #idiotmedia."
