A history teacher at a Rowlett, TX Middle School is in some hot water for lassoing a student and leaving bruises around his neck.

He was trying to teach lasso techniques used during cattle drives when he asked for student volunteers. He had them run and then he tried to rope them.

He ended up catching one 7th grader around the neck and leaving a pretty big bruise.

The teacher was suspended although no one thinks he did it maliciously. Cops are considering criminal charges.
