Kate Upton says she’s single and not dating Detroit Tigers pitcher Justin Verlander. In an interview on Valentine’s Day, the Sports Illustrated covergirl said she does not have a boyfriend. She was asked about a report that she and Verlander rang in the New Year together. She responded “Actually, I'm single right now, so I spent my holiday in Melbourne” without explaining herself any further. Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are making plans to release their own wine in the U.S., starting next month. The couple owns a 1,000-acre estate with vineyards in southwestern France, and starting March 15th, they will release their wine, called Miraval. The first wine will be a 2012 vintage pink rosé, and they’ll also release a line of organic white and red wines later this year. ** By the way, insiders claim that Brad gave Angelina a pack of breath mints for Valentine’s Day (2013), referring to an inside joke between them where he says her breath stinks. LeAnn Rimes is suing her dentist claiming he ruined her teeth, and messed up her career. LeeAnn claims she went to Dr. Duane C. McKay for various dental work over 3 years, including veneers and crowns that were meant to treat her TMJ-related pain and improve her appearance. She claims that rather than helping, the dentist caused tremendous pain and bleeding. LeAnn says she's had to undergo 9 root canals and bone grafting, as well as a temporary bridge and physical therapy. She is seeking unspecified damages for physical, emotional and psychiatric injuries, and also wants money for loss of past and future earnings. Katie Couric has been the victim of a cruel hoax over the last few months…at 2am, every Tuesday, a phone registered to her late husband calls 911. Her husband (Jay Monahan) has been dead since 1998. There have been 10 calls so far from the land line registered to Couric’s late husband. She’s kept his old line registered the entire time. She called the NYPD Commissioner for help on this and to start an investigation. They think someone is illegally hijacking the phone using some sort of device. Mariel Hemingway recently premiered a new documentary about her family called “Running From Crazy,” that talks about her father’s abuse and her family’s suicidal habits. 51-year-old Mariel believes her father, Jack, molested her two sisters, and both of her parents were also alcoholics. Her grandfather, Ernest Hemingway (yes, the writer), was also a depressed man and a heavy drinker. He ended his own life by shooting himself in the head 52 years ago. Ernest’s father and two siblings also killed themselves, and 15 years ago, Mariel’s sister Margaux, who was once the world’s highest-paid model, died from a drug overdose. Her other sister, Joan, needs constant care for bipolar disease, and Mariel admitted that she has considered suicide herself. Music pioneer Chubby Checker is suing the makers of an app that estimates the size of a man's penis. The app's name is "The Chubby Checker". The app promises to help users "assess prospective male partners based on their shoe size." Users type in the man's shoe size and the app estimates the length of the man's member. The app has been downloaded just 84 times and has long since been deleted. But still, Chubby Checker is claiming that the app has done "irreparable damage and harm" to his name because it's now associated with "obscene sexual connotation and images". The disabled Carnival cruise ship that was stuck in the Gulf of Mexico for five days finally docked in Mobile, Alabama late last night (Thursday). The ship pulled up at 9:15 p.m. Central and it took 4-5 hours for the over 4,000 passengers and crew to get off since there was only one functioning elevator on the Triumph. A fire in the engine room on Sunday cut power to the ship, leaving it adrift in the Gulf. A towing ship finally reached it Monday and it took days to pull it back to shore. Passengers said that cabin carpets are soaked in urine leaving many forced to sleep in tents on deck. They were low on food so passengers were forced to eat nothing but cold sandwiches. Once they were on land the passengers had the option of a seven-hour bus ride to Galveston, Texas where the cruise originated or a two-hour trip to New Orleans… some also can stay in Mobile. |
