How much would someone have to pay you to “drink” a virus?
The Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, TX, is conducting a study where it asks participants to get sick on purpose.
It’s all about studying the norovirus, which causes diarrhea and vomiting, and a new potential vaccine that researchers hope will prevent diarrhea.
After drinking the virus and spending a week in the hospital, volunteers get paid almost $1,000.
Half of the participants will get a vaccine and the other half gets a placebo.
Vomiiting and Diarrhea for $1,000? hmmmmmm?
