The Gatorade folks aren't going to like this... not one bit.  It turns out everything you need during a hardcore workout is in a simple banana. Researchers tested bananas vs. Gatorade during a tough period of cycling, and discovered that bananas deliver the same performance as sports drinks, and offered up a healthier blend of sugars.

Of course, it's hard to dump a bucket of bananas over your coaches head after the big game, so Gatorade will always have its place.
