Captain Dexter SWAT will keep you safe in case of severe weather...

Here is the latest from our friends at Channel 3...

(WRCB) -- We have a Winter Storm Watch in effect tonight through Friday.

Let's start with today.  After overcast skies, and a mild start to the day (we even had a few light drizzles) we will see cool, breezy weather this afternoon with the sunshine returning.  Temps will be in the upper 30s and low 40s through most of the afternoon with winds from the northeast at 10-15 mph.

Tonight, temps will drop rapidly into the mid to upper 20s by Friday morning.  We will also see a light wintry mix that will be primarily light rain, but could certainly manifest itself as snow or sleet at times through the morning.

I see the biggest threats during the morning commute being areas of ice on the roadways.  We could even see some thin layers of ice on trees and power lines which could lead to some power outages.

We will likely stay near or below freezing until the late morning, then we will gradually climb to about 40 in the afternoon.

I expect the light precipitation to change over into all light rain during the afternoon, and begin to taper off during the evening.

Most if not all of the moisture will be gone by Saturday morning, and your weekend should be chilly, but nice with highs in the 40s, and lows in the upper 20s.
