Keith Urban says he has an “extraordinary feeling of freedom” just a few months after receiving surgery to remove a polyp from his vocal cords. He describes the experience to Pollstar, saying, “If a footballer in their 40s was given their knees back like they were in their early 20s, that’s kind of how I feel right now.” Keith also adds that he doesn’t have to “push the pedal down” to reach high notes anymore. He admits his songwriting has changed too through the process, saying that his next album will reveal subjects that he’s “never really tapped into that much.”
