Little Bit Town tops the Billboard Country Albums chart again for a third consecutive week with their new album, Tornado.  The band’s Karen Fairchild thinks taking a different approach has really paid off with this album.  We agree!

Darius Rucker will be the next country star to join the Grand Ole Opry.  He got the invite during his Tuesday night performance at the Opry when Brad Paisley popped up out of the audience to give him the news.  Darius will officially join the Grand Ole Opry on October 16th.

Taylor Swift is once again stepping up for her fans.  A school for the deaf in Boston was recently disqualified from a contest that would bring Taylorto their school after internet pranksters were mean spirited and thought it would be funny to vote for deaf students to win the contest.  After Taylor got wind of the situation, she made a personal donation of $10,000 to the school and her tour sponsors matched her donation – bringing the grand total to $50,000.  In addition, VH1’s Save The Music program donated $10,000 worth of musical instruments.  Plus, every student will get a ticket to Taylor's next show in the Boston area.

Dierks Bentley has a new mode of transportation – his own customized airplane!  Dierks got his pilot license last year…and now he’s ready to take advantage of it.   Dierks picked up his new aircraft a week ago in Texas and posed for a pic with all of the workers at Cirrus (the maker of the plane).
